Event floor plans are a fabulous way of transforming your blank canvas Melbourne venue into the terrific event you want it to be. Terrific to the power of terrific! If you love our style and want us to furnish your whole wedding or event, this is a great option.

Create the event you want

Blank canvas venues like barns, warehouses and halls are SO our jam. You can create whatever you like! But that can also turn into a bit of a nightmare. Where to even start? What furniture goes where? Where should the bar go? What can I do with that weird space between that cage thing and the bollard? We bring LOADS of practical advice that will mean your event can run smoothly from a practical viewpoint AS WELL as look super fly.

As part of creating a scale floor plan, and marking out which things go where (bar, dining, cocktails, grazing, cake, lounge etc), we choose furniture from our deeply radical vintage and retro furniture collection that most suits you, your event and the venue.

Your floor plan also has cute images to show you which pieces we’ve chosen, and so does your quote! 

practical + pretty damn rad

We create the right mood with our furniture choices and positioning, but we also make sure it works on a practical level. Is there power near the DJ? Is the dance floor the right size so that it’ll be bangin’? Will the catering staff have enough room to get around? Is the grazing table right next to the toilets? Of course it’s not, yuk.

Getting your floor plan right is the key to a rad event.

our process

1. Book us in 📙

If you’re after help with your furniture choices, get in touch! We’ll send you an invoice for the related design fees (payable prior to the visit) and travel fees for venues outside Metro Melbourne.

2. Visit venue together 🛩️

  • We’ll lock in a time for us to visit the venue with you.
  • We’ll meet there and have a big ol’ chat about your thoughts and feels for how you want the event to look and feel. What you love and hate, and your budget. 
  • We’ll measure and photograph the space. 

3. Create your floor plan ✏️

We’ll return to our Batcave, grab all the photos we took and measurements we measured. We’ll review the things we talked about and start to formulate a radical furniture floor plan, along with a furniture hire, delivery and set-up quote.

You get one round of changes and then we lock it in!  

Package options

Important bits to do with floor plans

  • Design fees for floor plans are payable prior to the site visit.
  • For venues outside of Metro Melbourne, we charge for travel. It’s $100 per hour. This will be included in your quote. 
  • We prioritise floor plans based on event date.
  • Once we’ve completed the site visit with you, you’ll have your plan and quote within three weeks.
  • You can add additional floor plans at $200 per location.
  • We don’t guarantee suggested vendors are available. The list is a suggestion based on your specific wedding or event.
